Product disclaimer

Past performance does not necessarily guarantee future results. Investing in funds or ETCs entails risk, most notably the risk of capital loss. The value of an investment is subject to market fluctuation and may decrease or increase as a consequence. As a result, subscribers may lose part or all of their initial investment.

An investment may increase or decrease in value based on market fluctuations and changes in the exchange rate of the currency in which the product is invested when it differs from the investor's currency. For some listed funds or ETC, currency risk may exist between the currency of the unit in which the unitholder is invested and the currency of the index components.

Potential investors should acquaint themselves with the risks associated with investing in the funds or ETC by referring to the "Risk profile" section of the product's Legal Documentation to determine whether the investment is appropriate for them and to ensure that they understand the content of this website in its entirety.

The amount that might be reasonably invested in a fund or ETC depends on each investor's individual situation. To determine this amount, the investor should take into account their personal and family circumstances, their personal assets, their current and future needs and their preference for accepting risks or investing cautiously. Investors are also strongly advised to sufficiently diversify their investments so that they are not exposed solely to the risks of investing in a single fund or ETC. Investors should obtain information on this matter from their regular (legal, tax, financial or accounting) advisors before investing in a fund or ETC.

Amundi Asset Management, its advisors, Affiliated Companies and the authors of this website assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect losses resulting from the use of the information contained on this website.

Amundi ETF funds and ETCs are neither sponsored, approved nor sold by the index providers. The index providers do not make any declaration as to the suitability of any investment. A full description of the indices is available from the providers.

Investing in emerging countries entails particular considerations and risks, such as currency fluctuation, lower liquidity, less developed securities markets and political and social uncertainty.

Specific disclaimer on ETFs

Amundi Asset Management's ETFs (exchange-traded funds, also referred to as trackers) may be subject to restrictions on individuals or countries under national regulations applicable to such individuals or countries. Investors are responsible for determining whether they are authorised to invest in these products.

ETFs are index funds that are listed and tradeable continuously on the market and that seek to replicate the performance of their benchmark index, both upward and downward.

"Reservation thresholds are determined by applying a unit variation percentage either as indicated in the relevant Fund's prospectus or according to the Fund's indicative net asset value (iNAV), published by Euronext Paris SA and updated during trading in estimated form in accordance with changes in the indices indicated.

The Market Maker ensures that the market price of the Fund's units does not diverge by more than the unit percentage indicated by the relevant Fund's prospectus or the net asset value of the UCITS, pursuant to the reservation thresholds established by Euronext Paris SA."

In addition to the risks outlined above, investing in ETF units entails the following risks:

Risk that the ETF may not achieve its investment objective in full.

"There is no guarantee that the ETF will achieve its investment objective. In practice, no financial instrument is able to replicate its benchmark index exactly, immediately and continuously:

  • because reweightings in the benchmark index replicated by the ETF may give rise to transaction fees and/or friction costs;
  • on account of the temporary unavailability of certain stocks included in the benchmark index, or owing to exceptional circumstances that may distort the weightings of the benchmark index, especially if the listing of the stocks included in the benchmark index is suspended or temporarily interrupted".

Risks associated with changes on the benchmark index: the fund is exposed to upward or downward movements on the benchmark index. As such, the fund is exposed to the market risks associated with changes on the benchmark index. If the benchmark index falls, so too will the net asset value of the fund.

Counterparty risk related to the chosen synthetic replication method: In order to achieve its management objective, the Fund will use financial futures (particularly total return swaps) traded over the counter with a credit institution. The Fund will be exposed to the counterparty risk resulting from the use of financial futures entered into with a credit institution. The Fund is therefore exposed to the risk that this credit institution will not be able to honour its commitments with respect to these instruments. The failure of the swap’s counterparty (or any other issuer) may cause a decline in the net asset value of the Fund. However, in accordance with the regulations in force, the counterparty risk arising from the use of financial futures will be limited at all times to 10% of the net assets of the Fund per counterparty.

Liquidity risk on a listing market:
"The Fund’s market price is likely to deviate from its indicative net asset value. The liquidity of the Fund’s units on a listing market may be affected by any suspension that could be due to, particularly but not only:
i) a suspension or termination of the calculation of the benchmark by the supplier of the index,
ii) a suspension of the market(s) of the underlyings of the benchmark,
iii) the impossibility for a considered listing market to obtain or calculate the indicative net asset value of the Fund,
iv) an infraction by a market maker of the rules applicable on a considered listing market,
v) a failure in the systems, particularly IT or electronic systems, of a considered listing market,
vi) any other event that prevents the calculation of the indicative net asset value of the Fund or the trading of units of the Fund.

The Key Information Document (KID), or Key Investor Information Document (KIID) for UK investors, and prospectus of the ETFs must be provided prior to any subscription. Legal documents (prospectus and KID, or KIID for UK investors, annual report and interim report) are provided in French on request to AMUNDI and online at amundietf.com or the website of the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF).

Specific disclaimer on ETCs

ETCs (Exchange Traded Commodities) may be subject to restrictions on individuals or countries under national regulations applicable to such individuals or countries. Investors are responsible for determining whether they are authorised to invest in these products. An investment in the ETC Securities involves a significant degree of risk and investors should read carefully and ensure they understand the “Risk Factors” section of the Base Prospectus.

An investment in the ETC Securities involves a significant degree of risk and investors should read carefully and ensure they understand the “Risk Factors” section of the Base Prospectus.

For more information on the main risks associated with ETCs

The Key Information Document, Final Terms and Base Prospectus ("Legal Documentation") must be provided before subscription to any ETC security. Legal Documentation is provided upon request to Amundi Asset Management. The Base Prospectus is available online at amundietf.com or on the website of the Central Bank of Ireland.

Key risks of investment in gold

  • Gold is generally more volatile than most other asset classes, making investments in Gold riskier and more complex than other investments, and the secondary market price of the ETC securities may demonstrate similar volatility.
  • The issuer may elect to trigger an Issuer call redemption event and redeem all the ETC of a Series early on giving prior notice to investors.
  • The value, the secondary market price and an early redemption amount or final redemption amount, as applicable, of the ETC will be affected by movements in the price of the Metal, market perception, the creditworthiness of certain transaction parties and the liquidity of the ETC in the secondary market. The price of the Metal (and, by extension, the price of the ETC) can go down as well as up and the performance of the Metal in any future period may not mirror its past performance.
  • The minimum redemption amount of the ETC operates as a minimum repayment amount on the early or final redemption of the ETC. In the event that the Metal Entitlement of the ETC is insufficient to pay the minimum redemption amount to all investors on such early or final redemption, such investors may not receive payment of the minimum redemption amount in full and may receive substantially less.
  • The investors are exposed to the creditworthiness of the Issuer, Metal counterparty, Custodian and the APs.

Money laundering

As a result of regulations against money laundering and other regulations, identification documentation is required when you make your investment.
